Renee Umstead - Sales Associate/Triathlon Expert
Renee grew up in Seattle but moved to Stuttgart, Germany in 1998 where she worked as the Chief of Financial Management for the US Army. She moved to Shreveport in the fall of 2008 with her husband. In 1999, while in Germany, she started running as a way to relieve stress and it grew into a passion. She entered the Berlin Marathon in 2000 and after racing countless 5Ks, 10Ks, half and full marathons, including Boston 2009, she wanted to try something more challenging and decided to get into triathlons. She completed her first sprint triathlon in Switzerland. She recalls that "the feeling I felt crossing the finish line was incredible, and I knew that the multisport lifestyle was it for me and I wanted to do an Ironman!" After many Half Ironmans, she finally finished her first full Ironman in 2010. Later this year, she plans to race Ironman Florida and continue promoting the multisport lifestyle.

David Micinski - Sales Associate/Cross Country Expert
David's greatest running achievement was winning the first marathon he raced in. He recalls the experience with much enthusiasm. "It rained all night turning the trails to muck. I was already worried a trail race wasn't a good choice for my first marathon, and the rain only made it worse. The race was paired with a half-marathon that started at the same time, so I had no idea what place I was in until after I crossed the line. I was already thrilled to have finished, and got an even bigger shock when I found out I won!" David currently plans on playing lacrosse for Centenary, as well as compete for the school's cycling/triathlon team. David also plans on attending graduate school to study Neuroscience shortly after graduation this year, and wants to run an ultramarathon very soon.
