Ron Dean and Dewayne Williams were fallen officers with the Shreveport Police Department. They were advocate supporters of the Louisiana Special Olympics during their law enforcement careers. Shreveport Police Officers along with other law enforcement agencies and civilians participate in this run each year. This is not only in memory of Ron Dean and Dewayne Williams, but in memory of all fallen law enforcement officers. Their participation is in conjunction with the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics. All funds raised are donated to the Special Olympics of Louisiana

Date & Starting Times: Saturday, May 10, 2014 1/2 mile fun run/walk starts at 8:00am. 5K Run/Walk starts at 8:30am.
*****Law Enforcement relay will begin at 8:30 as well. 2 person teams each run 1.5 miles.

Early Registration: All credit card registration must be online @ www.sportspectrumusa.com. Early registration fee is $12.00 until April 27th after that the fee is $15.00. Race day fee $20.00.

Race Packet: Every pre-registered participant will receive an Official 2014 Dean-Williams Run T-shirt. Shirts will be limited to the first 300, so please register early. You may pick up your packet early at Sportspectrum-Thursday, May 8th from 12pm-7pm and Friday, May 9th from 10am-5:30pm. Race day pick up will be from 7:30-8:15am at the race site.

Course Description: The race will begin at Clyde Fant and Lake Street. Parking will be on the riverfront and the course will be
certified by Sportspectrum Race Management.

Awards: Overall Male & Female will receive awards. Divisions are as follows : Male & Female 13-under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39,
40-49, 50 & up - 1st & 2nd age group winners receive awards.

Law Enforcement Awards: The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams will receive an award. Divisions are as follows: Male & Female 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.

Special Note: Under RRCA regulations, absolutely no baby joggers, bikes, skateboards, or rollerblades will be allowed.
