Half-Marathon and 5K Race with Healthwalk

Distances: Half Marathon (13.1 miles); or 5-K

Race Times: Half Marathon starts at 8:00 AM; 5-K starts at 8:15 AM.

Course: Both courses begin in the park and go out and back on the jogging trail along the Red River. The course is flat with gentle rises. Water and Gatorade stations will be provided along the course.

Registration: Register at Sportspectrum (6970 Fern Ave. the corner of E. 70th and Fern) or ONLINE at www.sportspectrumusa.com. Race day registration will begin at Riverview Park at 7:00 AM and will close at 7:55 AM. Please call the Y at 318.674.9635, or Sportspectrum at 318.798.1241 for more info.

Fees:

Marathon: $25.00 on or before Saturday November 3, 2012. From November 3rd to November 14th, the fee is $30.00. November 15th and 16th is $40.00. Race day registration fee is $45.00.
5K/Healthwalk: $20.00 on or before Saturday November 3, 2012. From November 3rd to November 14th, the fee is $25.00. November 15 - 16 is $35.00. Race day registration fee is $40.00.

Packet Pickup: Pre-race pickup is at Sportspectrum beginning, noon on Thursday, November 15th, and Friday, November 16th, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Packets will also be available on Saturday at the race site.

Race Packet: The race packet includes a long sleeved Brooks Technical Shirt to the first 300 that register. After that participants will receive a long sleeve t-shirt.

Timing: Timing chips will be provided at no additional cost on Race Day and can be picked up at the Registra-tion booth. Please arrive early to ensure receipt of chip. Only those with timing chips will be scored and are eligible for prizes. *You must return your timing chip after the race.
***You will be assessed a $30.00 fee for unreturned chips.***

Awards:

HALF MARATHON: Male & Female: 1st and 2nd in each age group; and 1st and 2nd overall. Masters/Grand Masters 1st and 2nd Masters - 1st and 2nd Grand Masters.
Age Groups: 19 & under; 20 - 24; 25 - 29; 30 - 34; 35 - 39; 40 - 44; 45 - 49; 50 - 54; 55 - 59; 60 - 64; 65 & over.

5K RUN & HEALTH WALK: Male & Female: 1st and 2nd each age group; and 1st and 2nd overall. Masters/Grand Masters: 1st and 2nd Masters, and 1st and 2nd Grand Masters.

Age Groups: 15 & Under; 16 - 29; 30 - 39; 40 - 49; 50 - 59; 60+.

Refreshments: Refreshments will be served at the post event party and awards ceremony.

Special Note: Under RRCA regulations; absolutely no baby joggers, strollers, bikes, inline rollerskates, or skateboards will be allowed!!!
